Ancillary power service -peak shifting

There are peak, off-peak and valley periods in electric utilization. To balance power supply, in the present grid mode, means low energy utilization rate, difficult smooth operation and relatively high maintenance fee.

SES ancillary power service includes peak shifting. In valley hours, power is converted and stored. While in peak hours, the stored power is incorporated to the grid for peak shifting, which ensures high efficiency and stability and lower maintenance cost.

 

Ancillary power solution-frequency regulation

Frequency of around 50 Hz(60 Hz)should be maintained to ensure grid stability and reliability and this is what we need to keep a balance between power generation and load requirement. In the traditional mode, power output increases and decreases in response to the frequency variation.

In the backdrop of rapid technology development, however, expanded power scale, accelerated load changing, deepened power market transformation, large-scale new energy incorporation are factors that pose new challenges to power system frequency regulation.

Lithium battery system in SES ancillary power solution gives fast response and precision tracking. Fast output adjustment creates balance between demand and supply, enhances frequency stability and ensures stable operation of the grid.

SES ancillary power solution improves grid frequency stability effectively, which better ensures the stabilized operation of the grid and brings down the grid upgrading cost.
